Have you ever wondered how you are able to trust someone? Is it a matter of time? A matter of circumstance? Is trusting someone a matter of emotions? These are all questions that have sprung up in our thoughts at some point in our lives. How do you know if you trust someone?

Trusting someone is a choice

Trusting someone is a choice

I’m sure all of us went through a point in time wherein we placed our trust in someone and that person betrayed it. Did you feel like trusting that person again? Probably not, right?

Remember the time when someone indirectly asked for your trust? Maybe a person whom you was just acquainted to? Trust isn’t given away just like that, isn’t it? Trust, as they say, is earned.

For me, I would say trusting someone is a choice. And when you say that you’re earning a person’s trust, you’re simply saying that you’re earning that person’s choice.

I’ll be keeping this post short and simple.

Faith in God, if genuine, is an unconditional choice. Even when things go wrong for you and you do not understand it, you choose to trust Him. It’s not about time or circumstance or emotions, though those things are factors of your faith and trust. In the end, it all comes down to your choice.

How do you know if you trust someone? It’s your choice to make. It doesn’t happen just because.
