This is a summary of Andy Stanley’s message “Unexplainable vs. Undeniable”
I can’t explain God. But I serve a God that is greater than what I can fit in my
little bitty box … or your box … or our boxes combined!

Ever heard the phrase, ‘delayed obedience is disobedience’? I’m sure we all have – most especially when we were little kids. Holy procrastination (as I’d like to call it) is a habit that sticks to us even when we’re all grown up.

Ever heard the phrase “Have faith?” I’m sure that we’ve been through that phrase in our life more than once. Faith is such a disturbing thing. People hate it because some people abuse it’s existence – they become lazy, they lose out in life, they don’t walk their talk, and so many other things. People like that have incomplete faith which is, to put it bluntly, outright stupid.

2 Timothy 3:5 “They will have a form of godliness but denying its power.” I stumbled upon this verse during my quiet time. It bothered me and I had to read a lot of versions to get it right. I have my own insights for denying godliness as it is said in this verse and I wish to share it with you.

There was a magician who came into town. Everywhere he went he would perform some magic tricks. And there was a doctoral student in chemistry who would always sit there and watch he was doing and at the end of each trick say “I know exactly how you did it.”

Sin is a word which all of us humans have. Everyone knows it and everyone, unfortunately, sins. So what’s up with sin if everyone has it anyway?

Ever got yourself in a tough situation where you ask yourself “I know God can take me through this. If only I had enough faith!” or “Will God allow me to get through this unscathed?” Well I was just in a situation like that today.

Why did God save us?
Why send His one and only beloved Son down to Earth to suffer and die for us?
Doesn’t it seem just for God to just leave us be because of our everyday desire for our own selfish pleasure rooted in our sinful nature?

ShareSome people tell me that faith is all they need Some people tell me otherwise Still, some people tell me that faith is just an excuse for laziness… or for fear Which is which? “Faith is the substance of things hoped for – the evidence of things not seen.” “Faith without deeds is dead” – [...]

ShareWhy believe in a god? This question, as I’ve learned in the recent youth camp of my highschool (Makati Hope Christian School) Utopia, is a question that’s spread throughout the society of California. It’s publicly displayed for all to see – in buses, trains and billboards. I wrote this blog early this morning after I had [...]
