Apple and I got engaged last February 9. Just to explain, in Chinese tradition, there is something we call ‘Ting-hun’ which is how we celebrate a betrothal between a man and woman. It is a grand ceremony involving a reception, jewelries, exchanging of food, goods, and other respects between families. This is my story behind all that God has done leading up to our engagement ceremony.
2012 is almost at and end, and we’re all probably thinking about how time flies. Another year is coming to a close, and the new year is just a few days ahead. Looking back, I want to give God glory on the things that He has blessed me with (and He has blessed me with so much!)
There are TONS of pictures out there that talk about God, inspiration, Christianity, life, love, etc…
Just thought I should always keep a record of these in my blog.
It’s valentines day tomorrow! Thinking beyond the cliche of boyfriend/girlfriend dating, I remembered God and wrote out my valentines day letter to Him in my journal. I just want to share it here in the blog.
Today I just want to celebrate with God of all the things, people and talents He has blessed me with. Lord thank you for:
My fiance – A wonderful, wonderful woman who loves You and knows You and fears You. Thank You that she is everything I’ve always dreamed of and more. Thank You that she is very thoughtful and sweet and very wise and knowledgeable. She is imperfectly perfect for me. Thank you Lord for her.
My family – a wonderful family that loves and supports me. A wonderful mom who is self sacrificial and oftentimes selfless. She has greatly influenced me and shaped me to become who I am.
Thank you Lord for my brother who has always supported my and looked up to me. Thank you for his selflessness and for his fellowship.
Thank you Lord for my sister who gives me joy and who looks up to me and encourages me at times.
My friends – Thank you Lord that you have brought wonderful friends along my way who have taught me learnings directly and indirectly. Thank you that I have people to laugh and cry with. Who share my tears and pain and problems. Thank You for real friends who were with me when I was down in the mud – and helped me up.
Your mercy and grace and Holy Spirit – Thank you Lord that You give hope to someone so sinful and insignificant as me. Thank You that I can go on and fight and have second chances because of Your great love. Thank You for your Holy Spirit who has guided me and led me through life and through temptation and preachings and writing and giving advice. Indeed You have never left me nor forsaken me.
Our dogs – Thank You Lord for Teddy (our Pom) who has brought so much joy and cuteness in the family. Thank You for Franky who has kept the house guarded and is always happy when we get home.
This blog – Thank You Lord for the blog which You have greatly used to influence a lot of people and bless a lot of lives. Most especially mine. I praise You and I thank You for such an honor and privilege to write for your Glory!
My business – Thank you Lord for the impossibility of my business. It has made a lot of things possible in my life. Thank You Lord for blessing me with the perfect set of gifts and talents to reach out to the SEO industry and be known by thought influencers. It is a wonderful privilege to have this skill. May I ALWAYS use it to honor You and to give You glory. Thank you Lord!
My Team (I just wrote this here) – Thank you Lord for the team you have given me to help me with SEO Hacker. Indeed it is a wonderful privilege to work with these men and my woman. Thank you that I have go-to guys who I can depend on. Thank you that I have managers that carry a LOT of load for me. Thank you for all the writers you have blessed me with. I once asked You to bless me with a team – and You did. And Lord what a great team it is! Thank you!
There are a multitude of other things to thank You for Lord. But even just thanking you for these amazes me already. Praise and thanks from deep within my heart be to Your Name and Glory. Thank you Lord!
This Valentines, I encourage you to write out your own letter to God. There are just so many things to thank Him for. Make yourself fall in love with His grace in your life. Remember all He has done for you – so that you can remember how it is to fall in love with Him.
It’s been a long year! How time flies! As you all know, I started this blog around August of 2009. It wasn’t in the same domain name then. Now it’s December of 2010 – this blog is more than a year old! By God’s sovereign grace, He has used this blog so much to bless me and a lot of other people.
I praise God for all of you – my readers. You have all been a great encouragement to me. Without you, blogging would just not be the same. Thank you for your very, very kind words and your thankful and humble hearts. May you continue to seek God and gain wisdom. My prayers go out to you.
Writing has always been my passion since I was young. I never thought that God would lead me to become a blogger for His glory. I was even hesitant to buy the domain name h3sean.com and pay for it’s 1 gig hosting fee during the time. I was almost broke and had more or less 2,000 php left for myself.
But by faith, I told myself that 2,000 php is nothing compared to the number of people that I will bless with my writing. So I went ahead and bought h3sean.com – which I then entitled God and You.
Since then, God has blessed me with lots of readers (you guys) and with a business which found its roots with this blog. He has also blessed me with a wonderful woman with whom the first conversation I had was about this blog. It is just so amazing how God has blessed me to overflowing with just that little step of faith I took in blogging for Him and giving Him my last 2,000 php.
This is, by far, the most amazing Christmas I have ever had with God’s blessings in my life. I am just taken away by how God can really bless someone so undeserving as I.
This Christmas, I encourage you to do the same. You can never outgive God – so why not give to Him?
May you be blessed.
Happy, happy birthday Ma! It’s been 22 years of fun and laughter, of joy and of tears. 22 Years of sharing our lives together living through God’s grace in our lives. It’s been 22 years for me but I know that you’ve had a much longer episode than that.
So for your birthday I wrote out a little song – it’s not much and I kinda crammed for it. But I made it especially for you nonetheless. For just being my mom, thank you. There will never be another you in my life and so your place in my heart is deeply set. May you live long and well and may I learn to cherish every moment with you as God would have us spend in this life together.
May God bless you with happiness and abundant friends who will encourage you and glorify God with you and lead you more to Him both in spiritual growth and in ministry. May God grant you the desires of your heart – whatever you plan to do. May God bless you and remember you and most importantly, may you always remember Him.
Happy birthday Ma!
You cared for me when I was yet to be,
You held my unformed body in you.
Gave me your love and sung to me,
Taught me abc and peek-a-boo.
You are my mother
I grew a little, full of energy and wants,
Gave you my share of screams and tantrums.
I broke your stuff and ruined your plants,
But you loved me nonetheless.
You are my mother
Time went by and I wanted independence,
My own idea of freedom.
You gave me space and room to learn,
And guided me to wisdom.
You are my mother
And now that I’m a man of 22,
Building and living a life of my own.
Yet your love for me remains unchanged,
Through all the years you’ve seen me grown.
You are my mother
I cannot thank you enough for your love and support,
For the years of looking out for me.
I cannot thank you enough for being there for me,
To give me light when I can’t see.
You are my mother
And I will always be your son. May I always be a blessing and a joy in your life. I wish you all the best and may you thoroughly enjoy this day – the day when God brought a very special you into the world.
I just can’t believe this has happened. A policeman named Rolando Mendoza really believes that he can claim his job back by hostaging foreigners – tourists who are innocent and are supposed to fly back home the next day.
This is such a big tragedy. And what’s more is that it is done by someone who should have justice and the country’s righteousness at heart. The outcome of this incident is really not something that would be celebrated in the next few days.
My sincere condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the people who were murdered. I cannot imagine the extent of their grief over this abhorrently tragic incident. I can’t imagine having one of my loved ones in there. Incidents like these push us to ask God “Why?”
And indeed it’s also a question that has lingered in my mind for quite some time now. Who are those people in that bus? Did they deserve to die? Why did you allow this, God? And right now all I’ll be doing is to pray and try to listen and know God more as to why these things happen in our world.
As the Word of God says – the heart of man is bent on evil. And so we see the consequences of our human nature at work in this incident today between a philippine policeman holding several chinese toursists as hostage in a bus.
My heart and prayer goes out to their loved ones.
May 10 is drawing nearer and nearer. It is the day to elect someone who will rule over our country for 6 years. Those 6 years are vital – it is a chance to turn around our country. A lot of things can happen in 6 years in the hands of a wise and discerning leader. A lot of people are asking “who am I going to vote?”
Disclaimer: This is a personal blog entry. I am convicted that this has to be told to the rest of our countrymen who are going to cast their votes to appoint our ruler for the next 6 years
It’s not yet too late for us to decide who we are going to appoint as ruler over our country and land. There are so many candidates out there who claim that they can stop poverty, abolish corruption, defend the rights of the oppressed, provide justice and whatnot. A man can only bring so many promises. This is my chance to tell the world who I’m voting.
Why Gordon you ask? It’s because of his solid platform, his integrity (we couldn’t find anything negative about him when we Google’d it) his ability to lead, and his proof of change with what he did to the city of Olongapo.
I believe that this man has the ability to lead our country to a better future. I will pray for him whether he wins or not – to be a man who will burn with the desire to change our nation whether as president or as a mere citizen when, as God will have it, he does not win this election for presidency.

The retreat ‘Beyond’ for Makati Hope’s graduating batch 2010 was held March 5-7. I’m honored to have been part of it and to touch the lives of young men and women who are on their way to highschool and college.
There were grade 6 students and high 4 students. I remember when I was in their shoes. Those were years ago. How time flies!
I handled grade 6 students. They’re so cute and bubbly!
I talked on the panel discussion. Answered some questions – the ones which I think we also asked when we were in our highschool and gradeschool years.
It was a fun and quite relaxing weekend for me. I spent most of my free-time sleeping. Haha! Iba talaga pag tumatanda na!
Had so much fun with the teachers, the teens and the young ones during the retreat. I’m still proud that I graduated from MHCS – during the retreat I can see the hard work on laying the foundation of Christ in the students.
And I just have to say: Twice was I thought out to be a highschool graduating student together with all the High-4 youths. O diba?
I praise God for the school. Keep up the good work teachers! You are the mentors of the next generation! And thank you for all your life you’ve invested in us!
Until next year!
