Aaron & Beck’s Shoutout about Hope is Erupting

Our 2011 album recording is FINALLY upon us. It seems like forever since we last recorded. 2 years to be exact. WAY too long!
This time around, we’re pretty excited and very calm about this project. I believe that’s because we have a killer team running the ship. Big shout out to everyone on our team. You’re the best!

We love what new songs do to the heart of God’s church. There is something powerful about a new anthem stirring and moving people to become so free and vulnerable in their worship to God.

This Sunday night is about common every day people coming together to pour their hearts out in worship to our King and Saviour. We are purposely creating a moment where the truth of Jesus can be revealed. A moment where people of all demographic and backgrounds, can once again allow the hope of Jesus Christ to erupt in their hearts. An experience where the hopeless, the lost and the broken can find refuge in their heavenly Father!

In all honesty, we don’t know what God is going to do on this night, but it’s going to be a life changing experience.
Let’s come together on this evening, hearts full of faith, determined to push the boundaries of our worship to God. Together, standing strong to bring forth the fame of His great and glorious name!

Nothin’ but BIG love
Aaron & Beck

Performing Artists:

Parachute Band

The Parachute Band boys spend most of their year living out of suitcases; trekking to churches and events around the globe. Musically, their sound is fresh and experimental – with pulsing drums, angular guitars and the odd synth-breakdown – but spiritually they consistently seek to usher in the presence of God wherever they go.

Frontman Omega Levine and Drummer/Producer Sam de Jong formed New Zealand’s Parachute Band in 2007, picking up from where the original Parachute Band (1996-2006) had left off. Four years on, the five-piece has toured relentlessly throughout America, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Martin James Smith

Born 6 July 1970, Martin James Smith is an English vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. He was the front man of the Christian rock and worship band Delirious? He co-wrote three songs on Michael W. Smith’s 2004 album Healing Rain and is going to be collaborating with Michael W. Smith on his upcoming album. Martin also co-wrote two songs on Matt Redman’s 2006 album Beautiful News (” Take it to the streets” and “All over the World”). Some of the most recognised songs by Delirious? include “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever”, “History Maker”, “My Glorious”, “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?”, “Shout To The North”, “Deeper”, “Majesty (Here I Am)”, and “What A Friend I’ve Found”.

In 1995, Martin was involved in a near-fatal car accident, and during the weeks of his recovery, he decided to become a full-time musician. This inspired him to write the song “August 30″ which appeared on the King of Fools album from Delirious?. Smith was one of the founding members of Delirious? along with Stewart Smith (no relation) and Tim Jupp, when they formed the band as The Cutting Edge.

Smith also collaborated with the other members of Delirious? for the book I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever.
Quest

A band with Jose Villanueva as the vocalist, Quest is a Filipino Christian band that stands with the slogan:

Faith. Hustle. Believe. Receive. Celebrate. REPEAT… Life of a Champion! Out of the box! Microphone revolutionist!

Citipointe Live

Citipointe Live is the worship team birthed from Citipointe Church Brisbane and have a great passion for the local Church. Devoted to their church vision ‘to unmistakably influence our world for good and for God’, Citipointe Live travel Internationally bringing life changing worship and training to churches and conferences worldwide.

Gary Valenciano

Edgardo José Martín Santiago Valenciano, better known as simply Gary Valenciano (shortened to Gary V.), is a Filipino musician, composer, actor, producer, and gospel singer who is best known for many songs, especially those that became theme songs for movies.

Gary V is also widely known for his faith in Christ. He is also known for his Christian compositions and songs which he sings himself.
Jodi King

Singer/songwriter Jodi King has been surrounded by music and melody as long as she can remember. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba into a family that gathered every Sunday at church to sing in the choir, Jodi recalls: “Even Lilly, my Ukrainian grandmother joined us. She was a soprano.” Soon thereafter, the piano caught her attention and, as a 4 year old, Jodi began writing her own songs, each sophisticated enough to feature separate verses and progressions.

Sideshow

Sideshow is a six member band based in Manila, Philippines.

They are made up of vocalist Teepee Gastrock Aguilar, electric & acoustic guitarist Jun Uy, electric guitarist George Padolina, bass guitarist Raffy Lacambra, keyboardist Simon Tan, and drummer Jojo Reniya.

Known for their unusual approach, Sideshow courses their sound seamlessly to the ever shifting currents of music. Rocking and transforming what is usually presented as bright and clean, the band’s raw sound brings attention to the real source of creativity, without pretensions, with total authenticity. The recent debut of the album LIKE A TREE, which sold almost 1,000 copies in just 2 weeks, marks the coming of a new era in Filipino music. The genre proves no one is left in the dark both musically and lyrically.

Starfield

Artistry shot through with honesty; the ability to see the holiness of God and the depravity in our own souls; to somehow manage to communicate the unfathomable reality of the reconciliation of those two concepts – it is a quality known as authenticity. And it is a precious commodity in an industry known more for gilt than gold.

Sparrow Records worship band Starfield is one of those rare artists that can express the dichotomy of wonder and wandering; the wrestling of devotion and doubt that nestles in most of our hearts if we are honest with ourselves. With the release of their fourth major label album, THESAVINGONE, the band invites listeners to enter with them into human worship of the eternal God.

Tim Neufeld- Vocals and Acoustic Guitar
Jon Neufeld- Vocals and Electric Guitar
James Johnston – Bass
Dave Lalonde – Drums

Worship is about the response of a believer’s heart and not about the culture of our time. In this workshop, we will discuss how to use the tools of today while keeping the purpose of worship the central focus.

Copyright Laws

Since 2004, the overall music industry has decreased by 31% worldwide. The development and creation of worship music has also been affected within the church. In this session, we will tackle this question: What should a Christian do about it and how should the church respond?

Song Writing

There are Millions of songs written everyday, but everyone wants songs that are memorable and hard to get out of your mind. In this session, we’ll talk about the keys to writing these types of unforgettable songs that Hillsong has been producing time after time!

Hillsong United Live in Manila 2011

This June 2, 2011 Hillsong United will come back in the Philippines live for the third time. The band has been here twice before to lead Filipinos into a heart of worship for our God. I have been to one of their previous concerts and it was such a great experience to be in the midst of so many people coming to praise and worship our Maker.

Hillsong Publishing will also have a Conference here in Manila, Philippines this July 16, 2011

This time the concert will be held at Araneta Coliseum. The concert title “Aftermath” is named after their latest praise and worship album.

The details of Hillsong United Aftermath tour in Manila as well as the ticket prices can be found below:

Band Bio and History: (as taken from Wikipedia)

The Hillsong United band is an Australian rock and worship band, a part of Hillsong Church’s youth ministry Hillsong United. Their music is a contemporary style of praise and worship tempered with mainstream rock.

The band formed as close friends from within youth ministry, originally called ‘Powerhouse Youth’, led for many years by Donna Crouch. As the house band for the youth meetings of Powerhouse, the band played covers of Hillsong Church and various other ministries’ music, sometimes members contributing to Youth Alive and its’ albums (Darlene Zschech was involved in Youth Alive before Hillsong Church). Dr. Mark Evans (Macquarie Uni) states in his Ph. D thesis, “A youth band was formed from the Hillsong music team, which took what was happening in the church musically and played it louder and rockier, appealing directly to a youth demographic”. Steve McPherson, Deb Ezzy and Donia Makedonez were significant members. Powerhouse grew and was split in the late 1990s into two youth groups, ‘Powerhouse’ (18-25 years of age) and ‘Wildlife’ (12-16 yrs). Reuben Morgan, assisted by Marcus Beaumont and Tanya Riches were placed in charge of the Powerhouse band, with the former Channel V Leg-Up competition winner ‘Able’ band boys, Joel Houston and Marty Sampson in charge of Wildlife, while Luke Munns was the main drummer, and Michael Guy Chislett the main guitarist. In the Summer of 1997, the new team made a huge impact at their youth ministry’s Summer Camp. After coming back from Summer Camp with God full in their hearts, the many youth ministries in Hillsong Church joined together as one, and started to call the nights, “UNITED” Nights. When united, God does something powerful.

Switchfoot Live in Manila 2011

Switchfoot is coming back to the Philippines this April 30, 2011 with Hello Hurricane. The concert will be held at Philsports Arena. This band is one of my favorite Christian bands around. They sang the “A Walk to Remember” theme song “Dare you to Move” and, my personal favorite, “Gone”

About Switchfoot (taken from the Becca Music webpage):

Switchfoot – comprising Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (keys/guitar) and Drew Shirley (guitar) – has sold over 4.4 million albums in its career. Founded in San Diego, CA in 1996, Switchfoot released three independent records before its breakthrough album, 2003’s The Beautiful Letdown, which was certified multi-Platinum. Each of the band’s subsequent studio albums – 2005’s Nothing Is Sound, 2006’s Oh! Gravity and 2009’s Hello Hurricane – debuted in the Top 20 of The Billboard 200 and elicited critical acclaim.

The Best Yet, the group’s first-ever greatest hits collection, was released in November of 2008. Switchfoot has been touring extensively in support of Hello Hurricane and has recently appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” In addition to StandUp For Kids, the band has partnered with Habitat for Humanity, the ONE Campaign, To Write Love on Her Arms and numerous other charities.

Their latest Hello Hurricane (2009) is their first self-produced album as an independent band. It is also just the first release of four albums-worth of material as announced by Switchfoot. Their next album will be called Vice Verses, set to be released at an undetermined date.

Switchfoot last came to Manila in September 10, 2007. Their upcoming 2011 concert will be the second time the band visits the Philippines.

Planetshakers Live in Manila 2011

Planetshakers is coming to the Philippines for A Night of Worship concert this 2011! Planetshakers will perform live in Manila. The event takes place this March 12, 2011 at 7:30pm in Philsports Arena. Come join Australia’s Planetshakers in their mission to “empower a generation to win a generation”

Ever felt that hype when you’re around God’s people just worshipping His majesty and love? It is an experience like no other. When you know that you are in the presence of God, there is something different. Something unexplainable. This is an opportunity to experience the presence of God amidst thousands of other people with hearts in unison to worship.

A little info about Planetshakers

Formed for the first Planetshakers Conference in 1997, Australian Christian Worship band, Planetshakers is passionate to see generations worldwide unite together to worship God. Their heart is to see people encounter God, be transformed by his presence and empowered to make a difference in their world.

The rock and worship band is a central part of the Planetshakers Christian youth movement, which began as an annual conference in Australia and grew into an international ministry and a large church in Melbourne. The conference was born out of Paradise Community Church in Adelaide, South Australia by Pastor Russell Evans.

Planetshakers’ music is a contemporary style of praise and worship tempered with mainstream rock and pop. The 2003 Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian was also a part of the Planetshakers band for several years, taking both lead and backup vocal parts on the 2002 and 2003 albums and conferences. Many of the musicians originated from Youth Alive South Australia, which also released CDs. Some of the songs written by current band members for the Youth Alive albums, such as ‘Phenomena’ and ‘God of Miracles’ (from Youth Alive Western Australia) have also featured on Planetshakers earlier albums.

In 2004, their CD Open Up The Gates was nominated for Praise and Worship Album of the Year for the Dove Awards. This was also the year when the Planetshakers youth movement expanded and moved to Melbourne to begin a church ministry. The movement also has its own bible college which is located in several campuses throughout Australia.

Planetshakers announced at their 2008 conference that they would begin to release tracks via subscription to the “Planetshakers Revolution” – an online music/resource distribution system designed to consolidate and build upon different products that they had previously offered. “Revolution” was then discontinued on June 2010, with Planetshakers informing users they planned to move to other mediums to distribute their resources.
