I love stories. Stories make up my life. I believe everything is made up of stories. When the world was void – when everything was empty, God was there. And I believe the stories were there as well. You and me, we were stories when we were yet unformed. And God chose us – stories floating in the emptiness of time and space – and gave us life. He made us real. He made us living beings. He made us humans – In His likeness and being.
Imagine a world without stories. Isn’t it dull? Isn’t it boring? Isn’t it in every way, unbearable? A world without stories is unimaginable. It is impossible. Every event, everything is a story in itself. And I believe that you and me, we were stories before God put us here on Earth to live out the story in us.
I believe we all have stories that we love. Be it Greek mythology or maybe one of Tolkien’s fantasy fiction stories or one of Stephanie Meyer’s (Yes I get to mention her because she’s very popular with the goosebumps genre) romantic tales. We all have stories that we love to hear.
But let’s take Greek mythology for an example. I love Greek mythology. It’s very rich and full of gods with different powers, different abilities and different attitudes and likeness. Most of the stories of the gods are tragic. Usually, it’s the gods that win and the humans that suffer. Why? I don’t know - probably because that’s how the Greeks pictured ther “gods.”
And it’s funny what the Greeks will do to please their “gods” they’d go to the most unimaginable extent. And how about the stories in the Bible about the gods of the Philistines? They’re either ruthless, gruesome and brutal or they’re perverted, malicious and downright evil.
Those are stories told to us. And we enjoy them. Why not? They amuse us, they help us to be informed about the past and they give us ideas how good or bad a story can get.
But all those stories are just stories – fantasy and/or fiction. They never claimed to be real, never were – they never had historical solidity. They’re ideas and narratives made by men. They are stories weaved by the minds of humans. But what about God? Does He have a story?
Let me tell you about the greatest story that I’ve ever read. It’s about a God who loved these “humans” so much that He sent to dwell among them His one and only Son who is pre-destined to die for all of them so that they would not suffer after they have spent their time on earth. This God loved them so much… So very much.
Was there ever a story like that one? I wouldn’t know. But what I do know is that this story is true. And it blew my mind away as I realized “Hey! This story is real!” Have you ever imagined the movie “The Lord of the Rings.” Becoming true? That is so awesome! Swords, magic, dragons and adventures – that would be really cool.
And this story - God’s story – it became true. It became real. It happened. Years ago.
Stories are not meant to be forgotten. Stories are meant to be lived. And I believe this story is, even now, living in the heart and mind of God. Isn’t that reason for us to be exceedingly glad? That we share God’s story in all it’s reality?
We are so fortunate that in our story – the story of us humankind – our God first loved us! Isn’t that alone more than enough reason for us to be immeasurably joyful in every way?
Sometimes we are so caught up with working our own stories – making our own world. That we fail to put God in, when in fact He is the main character - He is the only one who can save the plot from going to a tragic ending. God’s love is so beautiful and it makes our story divine – isn’t it so great that we are given a story such as this? And the best part of it is, it is ALL REAL.

Indeed everything that God created is
Love – how the word has had it’s meaning dilluted in our world. It is so used and abused by everyone and everything. From people here and there to the media to the advertisments we see everywhere. Like the phrase “Love ko ‘to” It’s so… cliche
I was ashamed of myself even as I thought about it on the bus, that I have indeed lost faith in God and have even made the word “God” a stagnant and powerless word in my life. We abuse the word “Love” so much, that it has lost it’s meaning. And God is love – we can never separate that.
This is one of the most controversial questions that everyone has in the back of his or her own mind. At some point in time, our human logic will ask why an all-powerful God would create the all-evil person that Christianity in our world today know as Satan.
Because God is in their presence they only have to focus on Him. They need not think of anything else than their great and awesome maker who is already in their presence. Angels have no reason to sin because they have all the reasons to obey God. If they make a mistake, they will have no excuse. Angels do not live in a fallen world. I believe that they might be the one Jesus talked about in the parable “The prodigal Son” I believe they are the firstborn.

I’ve always asked this question especially when I was new to my relationship with God. I’ve always thought: “Why, if God is so merciful, can’t He forgive Satan with what he’s done?” It only makes sense that an all-merciful God can forgive an all-evil person. But why isn’t it so? Why is Satan, as early as the first century, judged as doomed to hell already?
Isn’t it so easy nowadays to say things to another person, especially with the use of technology? Sometimes we don’t even think twice anymore when we send a text message from our cellphones or a personal message from our ym. It has become so easy to criticize a person or to say somethings you don’t really mean. Sometimes we carelessy say things to blow off some steam because it makes us FEEL better. And technology has aided that part of our human nature.

There would be times when reading the Bible is not an option, such as with our parents. Sometimes our parents force us to read it, “Or else.” Or else we do not get what we want such as watching the television or playing the computer or going out of the house to gimmick with friends. I used to be forced to read my Bible, and it was a pretty good bargain with my parents too. An hour of reading it, I would be able to play the computer for two hours! Wow! It’s just like buy one take one.
Ever heard of web 2.0? It’s the new web technology where everything is integrated to focus and to centralize on the user rather than the sites. Like facebook, twitter, plurk and multiply – they’re building bonds for them to centralize their data and services to the user rather than web 1.0 where the users have to make and build their own identity in each of those sites over and over again.
